CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAM REPORT


INTRODUCTION


 As part of our B.Ed curriculum, we the teacher trainees of GVHSS VITHURA conducted a conscientization program on 7th DECEMBER 2018 on the topic " THE INFLUENCE OF MOBILE PHONE AMONG ADOLESCENTS "We consists of FOUR trainees:  SUHAIL M.S, NADIYA.S.NASER,SARIKA V NATH, ARYA M.S. The program was conducted for  38 students from 8A, 8B,8C, 8I,9A,9B and 9E were present in the class. As we are 4 trainees the main topic was divided into 4 sub topics - HISTORY OF MOBILE PHONE, ADVANTAGES, DISADVANTAGES AND M-LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.


  OBJECTIVES
  • To make students aware about the problems of adolescents.
  • To grab students attention towards the major problems by the using of mobile phones.
  • To develop healthy family and social relationships.
  • To provide proper solutions for their problems related to mobile phone.
  • To make students aware for M- LEARNING opportunities.

ADOLESCENTS


"Adolescence represents an inner emotional upheaval, a struggle between the eternal human wish to cling to the past and the equally powerful wish to get on with the future.”
           An adolescent is an individual who is in the transitional stage of physical and psychological human development that generally occurs during the period leads to the addiction towards certain things. Mobile phone can be considered as a major one among them.

WHAT IS MOBILE PHONE?

It have many names like, cell phone, mobile phone, smart phone or telephone. This is a portable device that access to cellular radio system. In simple devices we only access to make and receive the calls and send and receive the messages. While in Smart devices we also have the facility to access the internet with the above two facilities.

Cell phones were originally created so people could take while they drove. Initially called “car phones”, early cell phones were bulky, cumbersome, and expensive compared to today’s modern devices.
Today, we’re covering the history of cell phones and explaining where the future of cell phones could be. 

THE WORLD’S FIRST CELL PHONE

The world’s first cell phone was launched in 1983. It was the Motorola DynaTAC 800x. 
Despite the phone’s large size, it was still considered to be the most portable telephone ever made.

CONCLUSION
         On the whole the class was informative and students got a clear idea about the topic. All students become aware of the major problems that affects adolescent students due to the addiction of mobile phone and about all aspects of mobile phone. We succeeded in conveying the topic more effective way.

The students actively co-operated to conduct the programme. The Head Master and our concern teachers also supported us. Head Master has given a good introduction to the students. The students too have given good feedback about the programme.
